Meet Dr. Kim Kent
Kim Kent, DMD
As a dentist, I take pride in providing our patients with the highest quality dental care and take the time to explain each patient's unique choices for their short and long-term goals of optimal oral health. Myself and team continue to improve our therapies to patient care by attending continuing education, investing in state-of-the-art equipment, and spending the time necessary with each patient to ensure we understand their needs and questions and provide them with the explanations and guidance they need.
Background, Education, and Experience
Choosing to become a dentist was a logical decision. I wanted a career in which I could be involved with improving a person’s oral health and wellness while establishing and maintaining a relationship with them. I love working with people, problem-solving, and seeing a project through to resolution. And I enjoy helping people and educating them so they can live healthier happier lives. Dentistry was the perfect fit for me.
A Vancouver native, I attended the University of British Columbia for both my Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD).
For over 25 years I’ve been privileged to practice dentistry here in Vancouver. I enjoy helping my patients understand their diagnoses and the different treatment options. This allows individuals to make informed decisions on future treatment. Together, we develop long-term goals for their oral health and then undertake the work as partners, keeping smiles beautifully healthy.

Attending continuing education courses in dentistry, oral health, and wellness allows me to provide patients with up-to-date information on procedures and materials available to them. My priority is to educate and inform each patient of all treatment options, including the risks and benefits of each procedure. Patients deserve to make well-informed decisions about their dental health.
Beyond the Practice
I’ve lived my entire life in the Lower Mainland and cannot imagine living anywhere else. Being with friends and family is a priority when I’m not caring for people’s smiles. Staying active is important to me, so when not with family and friends I enjoy biking, kayaking, and hiking.
